Ghost of Tomorrow – Circle of Stone

Atlanta-based hard rock duo Circle of Stone, featuring UK vocalist/guitarist Russell Stewart and US guitarist Joe Garmon, return with their second album, Ghost of Tomorrow. Recorded across continents with additional drums by J.R. Mysterion, the album showcases a bold commitment to organic, musician-driven rock in an era increasingly dominated by digital production.

Musically, Ghost of Tomorrow blends classic heavy rock influences—Black Sabbath, Metallica, Soundgarden—with contemporary indie and acoustic rock sensibilities. The result is a textured, dynamic sound that balances crushing riffs and driving rhythms with melodic exploration. Tracks shift seamlessly from weighty, riff-based aggression to more nuanced, atmospheric moments, demonstrating the band’s evolving sonic palette. Thematically, the album asserts an anti-AI philosophy, foregrounding authenticity and musicianship. Beyond its conceptual framing, it’s an album that revels in its human imperfections—the subtle timing variations, layered guitar harmonies, and emotive vocal performances give the record a palpable warmth and energy. The transatlantic recording process, completed over nine months during late-night sessions, contributes to a sense of immediacy and intimacy that sets the album apart from more polished, algorithm-driven productions.

Ghost of Tomorrow stands out as both a celebration of traditional hard rock and a confident step forward in Circle of Stone’s evolution. With its ambitious production, diverse stylistic influences, and uncompromising commitment to human artistry, the album positions the band as a compelling voice in modern rock—one that honors the past while carving its own path into the future.
